Briarcroft is located within just minutes from the Galleria, with easy access to downtown Houston, I-59, Loop 610, and I-10.
Briarcroft is bounded by Westheimer to the south and San Felipe to the north, Chimney Rock is its main access street, with all other streets in the community either being U-shaped or ending up as cul-de-sacs.
In 1953, property development of the neighborhood began. While most of the ranch-style homes have been extensively remodeled and updated, like the nearby subdivisions of Briargrove and Tanglewood, Briarcroft has also opened to large two-story new construction. Briarcroft is still home to many of its original homeowners. The neighborhood has an interesting flavor of nostalgic and contemporary homes.
